25^th Dec 2025 Countdown Day 07       INSIGHT

As a human, one of the faculties that we are gifted with is a heightened perception. The ability to perceive things around us in a profound manner.

If one attends an opera, a concert or a play/movie, should one not extract the total experience by perceiving every sound, sight, nuance? If we walk out without doing so, we have not extracted the full juice out of the event. Likewise, if we don’t perceive every nuance of this drama of LIFE, we would have lived a less full life.

If one has to Live Life To The Maximum, one has to raise one’s ability to perceive to the highest levels.

The quality of our life and its richness, depends on the level of perception that each of us possesses. It is possible to hone one’s perception to its highest levels. To silence out the noise and disturbance and to seek out the real meaningful essence of LIFE.

And with that ability to perceive, we develop our INSIGHT. To see and perceive all the things around us, even those which others may be missing.

INSIGHT can really mean “In” Sight. Looking within. For all the answers and all the deeper questions are all within us. To be able to break free from the stimulus and noise around us, to look deep into the stillness within. focussed 

To me, INSIGHT means the ability to perceive things around me, as they truly are. Without any distortion, without any prejudice and bias. Without missing any nuance. To immerse oneself fully into each moment and soak in the totality of the experience.

And after perceiving the moment as it truly is, having the ability and willingness to respond. To do the right thing. Not to react from one’s past tendencies. To respond with pure free will and not be led by past vaasanas.

Recognising that each moment has come in front of us, because we have pulled it into our reality. It is there for a learning. It is there for our evolution. Whether we learn and evolve from that moment is up to us. You may attend the best lecture from the most accomplished teacher, but of you have not extracted the totality of the learning from that class, you have lost out a tremendous opportunity.

Our body and mind are supremely intelligent. By tuning our body and mind to their peak levels, one can surely align with the Universe around us and perceive it in totality. It is lie tuning a TV set or a Radio to receive the signal in its fullest and unadulterated form.
