02 days to go for 2026! Resilience

Tuesday 30th Dec 2025

Day 23390

30th Dec 2025 Countdown Day 02       R E S I L I E N C E

Resilience in life refers to the capacity to adapt, recover, and thrive amid adversity, setbacks, or stress, rather than merely enduring hardship.

Resilience involves bouncing back from challenges like loss, failure, or trauma while maintaining mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility. It acts as an inner reservoir of strength, enabling individuals to face difficulties head-on without despair or unhealthy coping.

The core issue is whether we realize that every moment in our life, every experience, is for our learning and evolution. Resilient people exhibit self-awareness, emotional regulation, problem-solving skills, strong social connections, and self-compassion.

They possess an internal locus of control, believing their actions influence outcomes, and view challenges as meaningful opportunities for one’s own growth and evolution.

Life’s situations might knock us down and we would find ourselves facing disappointments, regrets, embarrassment, fear and similar negative emotions. How well do we extract ourselves from the grip of such emotions, emerge stronger, stand up and get back on the dancefloor, that is a demonstration of resilience. Likewise, maintaining a cool and calm head even in moments of great success and joy, not letting ourselves loose control in euphoric situations, is also a sort of measure of resilience. Each moment is anicca (Pali word meaning anithya, impermanent), everything is non-permanent. An attitude of “This too shall pass” is to be ingrained in our internal core.

The extraction of the learning from each situation is also crucial. Just having an attitude of “this too shall pass” without making our best effort to internalise the learnings from the experience will not aid our evolution.

Resilience is therefore an amalgamation of courage and wisdom.

One may develop some self-protective mechanisms and hide away some negative experiences in the dark corners of our Mind. Wear a mask and navigate through the world. Doing this, will mean that one is walking through LIFE holding on the excess baggage of such trauma. It is best to process the trauma and erase any lingering effects in our psyche. If one is not able to do this oneself, seeking help from someone else to process this, possibly a professional mental health expert or some dear friend or family member, is essential. One is not alone in the world, We can draw sustenance and support from those around us.

Only then can we enjoy the fragrance of the rose flowers as well as handle the trauma of the thorns in the rose bush.

Be resilient. Live Life To The Maximum!

Tomorrow is 31st Dec, the last day of 2025. Get ready to welcome 2026.
